An underwater scene with mermaids and multicoloured scales running along the edges. The scales and imagery have been painted using glittery and iridescent paint, making them sparkle and shimmer in the sunlight.

How are they created?

I paint my shoes with acrylic paints mixed with a fabric medium (which makes it flexible and waterproof on the shoe). After heat setting, I then spray the shoes with fabric protector, which helps to keep the dirt away.
